Nurse-Led Skin Blemish Removal | Leigh, Kent
Welcome to The Skin Blemish Nurse.
Your safety, wellbeing and satisfaction are at the heart of my practice. As a registered nurse specialising in advanced cosmetic procedures and skin blemish removal, I am committed to providing professional, individualised care in a safe and welcoming clinical environment.
Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully before booking your appointment.
1. Consultations & Appointments
All new clients are required to undergo a consultation and skin assessment before treatment.
A consultation fee of £50 applies. This fee will be deducted from the cost of your treatment if treatment proceeds.
During your consultation, we will discuss your medical history, assess the blemish, explain the proposed procedure and discuss expected outcomes, possible risks and aftercare.
Treatment is subject to clinical suitability and cannot be guaranteed following consultation.
Where appropriate, you may be referred to your GP or dermatologist for further assessment before treatment can proceed.
2. Treatment Fees & Payments
All treatment prices will be discussed and agreed before any procedure is undertaken.
Treatment costs depend on the type, size, location, number and complexity of the blemishes being treated.
Payment is required on completion of treatment unless otherwise agreed.
Additional Treatment Sessions
Some skin blemishes may require more than one treatment session to achieve the desired result.
The initial treatment fee covers the agreed procedure only and does not guarantee complete removal.
If further treatment is required, each additional session will be assessed and charged separately.
Any additional treatment costs will be discussed and agreed before proceeding.
No guarantee can be given regarding the number of treatments required or the final cosmetic outcome.
Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Please provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or failure to attend, may result in a cancellation charge. Any charge will be reasonable, proportionate to the clinic's actual losses and clearly communicated before booking.
If The Skin Blemish Nurse needs to cancel or rearrange an appointment, you will be offered an alternative date or an appropriate refund of any payment for services not provided.
Applicable statutory cancellation and refund rights remain unaffected.
4. Medical History & Treatment Suitability
Your health and safety are my priority.
Before treatment, you must provide accurate and complete information regarding your medical history, including:
Existing medical conditions.
Current medication and relevant supplements.
Allergies or skin sensitivities.
Previous skin treatments or procedures.
Pregnancy or breastfeeding, where relevant.
History of abnormal scarring, poor wound healing or skin infections.
Any changes in your health since your consultation.
Certain medical conditions or medications may make treatment unsuitable or require additional precautions.
The Skin Blemish Nurse reserves the right to postpone or decline treatment where it is considered clinically inappropriate or unsafe.
5. Consent & Clinical Assessment
All treatments are subject to an appropriate consultation, clinical assessment and informed consent.
Before treatment, the procedure, expected benefits, possible complications, limitations and aftercare requirements will be explained.
Clients will have the opportunity to ask questions before agreeing to treatment.
You may withdraw your consent at any stage.
Any suspicious, changing or undiagnosed skin lesion requiring medical investigation will not be treated cosmetically until it has been appropriately assessed.
6. Clinical Photography & Insurance Requirements
At The Skin Blemish Nurse, before-and-after clinical photographs are required as part of my professional indemnity insurance conditions.
Photographs are taken to document the appearance of the blemish before treatment, monitor healing and treatment outcomes, maintain accurate clinical records and provide supporting evidence for insurance purposes where necessary.
Photographs form part of your confidential clinical record and are handled securely in accordance with UK data protection legislation.
Photographs will never be used for marketing, social media or promotional purposes without separate, explicit consent.
Where required clinical photographs cannot be obtained, treatment may be unable to proceed due to professional insurance requirements.
7. Treatment Results & Possible Risks
Every individual's skin responds differently to treatment.
Although every effort is made to achieve the best possible outcome, results cannot be guaranteed.
Potential risks and side effects may include:
Redness, swelling and tenderness.
Crusting or scab formation.
Temporary or persistent pigmentation changes.
Infection or delayed healing.
Scarring.
Incomplete removal or recurrence of the blemish.
Some blemishes may require further treatment, which will be assessed and charged separately.
The risks relevant to your individual treatment will be explained during your consultation.
8. Pre-Treatment Preparation
Clients are expected to follow the pre-treatment guidance provided by The Skin Blemish Nurse.
This helps ensure the skin is appropriately prepared and reduces the risk of complications.
Detailed guidance is available on our Pre-Treatment Advice page.
Please inform the clinic of any changes to your health, medication or skin condition before your appointment.
9. Aftercare Responsibilities
Following your procedure, you will receive individual written aftercare instructions by email, tailored to the treatment performed.
Clients are expected to follow the aftercare instructions provided to support healing and minimise the risk of complications.
Failure to follow appropriate aftercare advice may affect healing and treatment results.
General information is also available on our Aftercare Advice page.
Please contact the clinic promptly if you experience unexpected symptoms or have concerns about healing.
10. Complimentary Six-Week Review
A complimentary review appointment is offered approximately six weeks after your initial treatment.
This appointment provides an opportunity to assess healing, review treatment results, take follow-up clinical photographs where required and discuss any concerns.
The six-week review consultation is free of charge. Any additional treatment required will be assessed and charged separately.
The cost of any further treatment will be discussed and agreed before proceeding.
No additional treatment will be carried out without your informed consent.
Any concerns about the safety or quality of the original treatment will be reviewed individually, without affecting your statutory consumer rights.
11. Confidentiality & Data Protection
All personal information, medical history, clinical photographs and treatment records are treated confidentially.
Information is processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
Further details about how your information is collected, used, stored and retained are available in our separate Privacy Policy.

All concerns will be taken seriously and handled professionally and confidentially.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts your statutory consumer rights.
Services will be provided with reasonable care and skill in accordance with applicable UK consumer protection legislation.
The Skin Blemish Nurse does not exclude liability for negligence resulting in personal injury, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Agreement to Terms & Conditions
By booking an appointment with The Skin Blemish Nurse, you acknowledge that these Terms & Conditions have been made available to you.
A separate consultation, clinical assessment and informed consent process will take place before any treatment.
The Skin Blemish Nurse reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions where necessary. The terms applicable to your booking will be those communicated at the time of booking, unless a change is subsequently agreed.
