Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

The Skin Blemish Nurse is based in Kent, offering a private, discreet setting for consultations and advanced blemish removal treatments.

How do I book?

You can book your consultation by contacting me directly on 07533 985 272 or via WhatsApp or email : sarahbutlerclinic@hotmail.com

Every new client begins with a consultation so I can assess your skin and the blemish or blemishes you would like treated.

Is there parking?

Yes, parking is available.

How long is treatment & how many sessions will I require?

Treatment time depends on the type, size, number and location of your blemishes.

Some small blemishes can be treated within a 15-minute appointment, while multiple, larger or more complex blemishes may require a longer appointment.

Some blemishes respond beautifully to a single treatment, while others may require further sessions. I will discuss this with you during your consultation and give you realistic expectations before treatment begins.

How do I pay?

I accept card and cash payments – whichever you prefer.

What is a normal skin reaction following treatment?

The skin's response will depend on the treatment and the area treated. Redness, mild swelling, tenderness and small crusts can all be part of the normal healing process.

The treated area may also temporarily appear darker or lighter while healing.

You will receive full verbal and written aftercare instructions so you know exactly what to expect and how to look after your skin.

Will my blemishes return?

Once successfully treated, some blemishes may not return in exactly the same place. However, advanced blemish removal cannot prevent your skin from developing new blemishes in the future, and certain conditions can recur.

Age, genetics, hormones, sun exposure and the underlying cause of the blemish can all play a part.

Maintenance treatment may therefore occasionally be recommended.

Can I cancel?

Yes. I understand that sometimes plans change.

I would ask clients to provide as much notice as possible when cancelling or rearranging an appointment.Policy is 48 hours before the appointment.A 50% cancellation fee if cancelled under 24 hours

How much does it cost?

Your initial consultation is £50 and includes a full assessment, skin test where appropriate and a personalised treatment plan. The consultation fee applies whether or not treatment subsequently goes ahead.

Advanced blemish removal treatment currently starts from £105, with the final cost depending on the type, size, number and complexity of the blemishes being treated.

You will always know the exact price before treatment begins.

Is treatment painful?

Everyone experiences treatment differently.

Advanced electrolysis is often described as a brief heat, sting or prickling sensation. Some areas of the body are naturally more sensitive than others.

I will always work carefully and explain what to expect before we begin.

Can I have treatment before a holiday or special event?

I wouldn't recommend scheduling advanced blemish removal immediately before an important event or a sunny holiday.

Your skin needs time to heal, and depending on the treatment, you may experience redness, swelling or crusting for a period afterwards. Sun exposure can also increase the risk of pigmentation while the skin is healing.

If you have a wedding, holiday or other special occasion coming up, please mention it when booking so we can plan your treatment with plenty of healing time beforehand.

Aftercare & Support

Your care doesn't end when you leave the clinic. Good aftercare is an important part of achieving the best possible result, and I want you to feel fully supported throughout the healing process.

What aftercare will I be given?

Following your treatment, I will explain exactly how to care for the treated area while it heals. You will receive both verbal and written aftercare instructions, along with any aftercare product required for your treatment.

Aftercare varies depending on the blemish and treatment performed, but generally involves keeping the area clean, avoiding picking or scratching, and protecting the healing skin from sun exposure.

What if I have questions or concerns after my treatment?

I want you to feel supported once you leave the clinic-you will have my direct contact number, so if you have any questions about your healing or are concerned about anything following treatment, you can contact me for advice.

Is a follow-up review included?

Yes. Every treatment includes a complimentary review appointment 6–8 weeks later.

This allows me to check how your skin has healed, assess your results and discuss whether any further treatment would be beneficial.

Healing and results vary from person to person, so your review is an important part of your treatment journey with The Skin Blemish Nurse.
